Hello –
We submitted our SBIR phase 1 proposal at the September 2021 deadline and recently received a set of questions from the panel review, a set of questions from the PD and some reference to the compliance issue (e.g. budget). We addressed the questions from the panel and PD and also answered the compliance issues via email – but didn’t get to modify our budget. It has been almost 4 weeks and when I asked the PD on timeline, I received a fairly general answer with no timeline (that if the proposal passes the merit review, then there are other reviews and each may take time). Anyone else has received funding decision from the Sep 2021 deadline yet? Any general feedback on how long it is taking for the process these days?
Thanks,
MMikeinMNParticipantThanks Stacey! I appreciate your reply.
MikeinMNParticipantHello there –
I have two questions regarding NIH SBIR:
1. Does a fasttrack application considered an R43 or R44? I was looking for the guidance on payline and it appears that is 30 for R43 bu 10-40 for R44.
2. There is a review meeting this week (6/29) and I was wondering if they would be able to post scores before Friday. I remember reading somewhere that they will post the scores within 3 business days. But I also suspect that it is likely a two day meeting and not a 1 day meeting.
I appreciate your help.
MikeinMNParticipantThanks Stacey – appreciate your response. I had also emailed the Program Director in February when he replied saying that it will take them 4-6 months to make decision.
Do they provide the summary statements and decision together or if one can come before the other?
MikeinMNParticipantFor those who submitted proposals before the Dec 3, 2020 deadline – has anyone heard back yet?
