    What agency is this for? We highly recommend that you reach out to the program officer assigned to you for your original submission to discuss your options. Typically, you are allowed to switch from STTR to SBIR, as long as you meet the other qualifying criteria for SBIR/STTR submissions.

    It’s definitely too early to tell what the final outcome of this notice will be. We’re already seeing some states push back against it, and we anticipate a lot more discussion and debate before we know how, or even if, it will be implemented. One key area we’re focusing on is how this might impact SBIR/STTR funding, especially since the notice specifically mentions institutions of higher learning. We’re actively seeking clarification from program officers on this point. We will provide additional updates when we get more information.
