    We just received our first SBIR Phase I!  We are excited, but now we need to set up a proper accounting system.  We are doctors and researchers, not accountants, so we need some help.

    What software do you recommend?  Can we use QuickBooks?  What about FreshBooks or Xero?

    I use QuickBooks online. It has been my go-to platform for my business bookkeeping for a long time now.

    QuickBooks is our highest recommendation. This allows the uses of “classes” for grant purposes and will keep the financial reporting looking clean and concise!
