    We submitted an STTR last time, now we plan to address the questions and resubmit it, can we switch from STTR

    Typically a switch from STTR to SBIR is allowed, however, we recommend that you contact your assigned Program Officer (PO) to confirm. You will also need to ensure that you meet the required effort and qualifying criteria for an SBIR (SBIRs require that at least 67% of the award be awarded directly to costs incurred by the small business concern, leaving up to 33% of the award to be allocated to academic collaborators and/or consultants).

    I have the exact same matter. But can not switch from STTR, because some dependencies. What should I do next?

    Hi Sarah,
    If based on your effort/dependencies you must pursue an STTR, I recommend preparing a one-page response to reviewers that addresses their comments and discussing this document with your assigned Program Officer. Based on their feedback, you should then resubmit the application.
