DO NOT upload information beyond what is specifically required and permitted into the proposal (e.g., do not include marketing materials, research results, academic papers, patent applications, etc.).

Yes, this is good advice. While preliminary data can be included in a Phase I application, any additional materials that cause your application to exceed stated page limits or that are not specifically requested may cause your application to be administratively withdrawn.
